ABOUT THE RANCH

A Dream Come True

My mom and I are an extraordinary team, so when we set out to go back to our roots, we purchased a 5-acre parcel of land on the West End of Ramona, California (NorthEast San Diego County). The property was a bit of a diamond in the rough, but fit my vision almost perfectly. The property was formerly a pig rescue and was already outfitted with animal pens and enclosures, which aligned well with my dream of starting a rescue ranch and resort.  My middle name is Robin, so we've named the ranch "Robin's Nest."  The property boasts massive boulders, beautiful mature trees, and lots of usable space. We have plans for a small horse boarding facility and accommodations for visitors to stay & play. Our location on the West End of Ramona makes hiking, climbing, biking, and exploring most convenient. We're excited for this next adventure!

ABOUT US

Extraordinary Team

I'm Kimber Williams, and my partners in crime are Nick Spear and my mom, Sue Williams.  My mom and I moved to Ramona from Normal Heights and Nick from Palomar Mountain (both in San Diego) in 2021 with 3 chihuahuas and a big dream!  I run my own business recruiting high level attorneys for international law firms, my mom (aka Dr. Sue) is a Professor Emeritus of Criminology and Sociology for Kansas State University, and Nick is a Physician Assistant in Poway. Between the three of us, we have 8 degrees.  But, make no mistake, the real bosses are the three chihuahuas: Lily, Alberto, & Julio (aka The Three Chimigos).

MY ROOTS

5th Generation Rancher/Farmer/Horsewoman

The little girl in the photo is my grandmother.  Her grandparents were some of the first settlers to farm the harsh plains of West Texas.  Every generation since my great-great-grandparents have also farmed that very land in Texas, and we still do to this day.  So, I come by my love of farm life quite honestly!

MY HERITAGE

Grit ~ Character ~ Heart

The woman riding side saddle (taken in 1956 at the age of 70!) was my great-grandmother.  She died when I was 2, but I feel like I knew her.  The stories that my grandmother and mother told me about her are filled with grit, character, and heart.

MY STORY

Ambition & Fearlessness

As you can tell from me ripping around that barrel at the age of 9, I've had no fear and great ambition all my life. I started riding when I was 6 and began competing in rodeos shortly thereafter. My love for horses has been strong since, and starting up Robin's Nest has been a lifelong dream.
